The Paris Convention Bureau is responsible for the promotion of business tourism in Paris. As an interface between clients and the range of convention facilities and services available in Paris, its missions include:

Promoting Paris as a destination for the congress and corporate events segments.

Informing, assisting and providing support for event organizers and professional associations.

Participating in the gatherings and annual meetings of national and international associations devoted to business tourism of which it is a member, with the objective of creating a net-workand of sharing its experience with its foreign counter-parts.

It conducts promotional activities in foreign markets through participation in international professional trade shows with Paris professionals; by organizing educational tours and press meetings; and through missions in the Russian, Chinese and Japanese markets, with the objective of analyzing the potential of these markets.

In the congress segment, it promotes cooperation between the destinations major stakeholders in an effort to win new bids. Its approach to non-profit groups, associations and learned societies is resolutely proactive. Through its prospecting initiatives, it offers them support and assistance at every stage of their project by aiding them with the preparation of the candidate file, making site recommendations, obtaining letters of support from the Mayor of Paris and various institutions, organizing location selection tours for the chairman of the international organization, helping to defend the bid, offering assistance with promotion of the congress and more.

It also makes available a wide range of tools to key influencers, including a slide show of Paris, a film on Paris entertainment attractions, a PowerPoint presentation on Paris, the Meeting Convention Manual, and congress leaflets in French and English.
