Urban network

Urban networkGetting around inner Paris couldn’t be easier !

All the sites and sights are easily accessible thanks to a unique urban network, managed by RATP:
- 16 metro lines serving 381 regularly renovated stations
- 5 RER lines(regional express)
- 1,371 buses operating on 64 services and 31 night buses, and
- 4 environmentally-friendly and quiet tram services.

New ! A ring road is planned to open in 2020 to facilitate access between outlying suburban areas of the city.

Taxi

TaxiExtra taxis, and “green” taxis

New ! 4,000 additional taxis will come into service between now and 2012. This will bring the number of taxis operating in Paris to more than 20,000

In order to spread out the presence of taxis across the Paris region, they also have a dedicated taxi lane on the A1 motorway between Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport and Paris with a reasonably-priced fixed rate for the client.
